Three editors (Abstrakt, Miborovsky and myself) have started an RfC with regards to edits made by Sarcelles. ? and ?

Does anyone have any idea how to distinguish these two in Romanization (or how it's usually done in Sinologist writing)? I can't just write both of them as Di. -- ran (talk) 19:54, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Romanization for Bohai-related articles

I proposed to use Pinyin as the default romanization for Bohai-related articles (again). If you are interested, add your comments at Talk:Bohai.

Also, Manchuria-related artcles undergo aggressive POV-pushing from Korea in recent days. Please help NPOV them. --Nanshu 10:26, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

List of English words of Chinese origin

I wonder if anyone's got any comments regarding List of English words of Chinese origin? There are many Japanese words of Chinese origin in the list which I think should not be there. See the talk page for more details. LDHan 11:39, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Unequal treaty articles

Just in case somebody is interested in covering 19th century imperialism:
The Treaty of Wanghia article is barely linked to from other articles, and the Treaty of Huangpu (German) as well as the "major" Sino-Portuguese Treaty of Peking don't even have their own articles yet. Wikipeditor 22:36, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

NPOV map of India

Hi! I've made a hi-res SVG map of India and have put it up as a featured picture candidate on Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Blank map of India. I've tried to make the map as neutral as possible encompassing each country's claim and administration. If you have any comments on it please let me know on Image talk:India-locator-map-blank.svg. Literati

I am now beginning to work on the article for bunjinga, Japanese literati painting. And I have noticed that there is next to nothing on Wikipedia on Chinese literati (wenren) or literati painting (wenrenhua). Also, the Chinese painting article is far shorter and less detailed than it could be. China is not my field of expertise, and I am afraid I have nothing much to contribute to these pages, but I thought it appropriate to bring it to the attention of those who do. Thank you. Help with translations

I'm currently working on a script intended to create short articles on political parties on a variety of wikipedias simultaneously. However, in order for the technique to work I need help with translations to various languages. If you know any of the languages listed at User:Soman/Lang-Help , then please help by filling in the blanks. For example I need help with Chinese and Minnan. Thanks, --Soman 12:15, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

New category for China-related articles missing Chinese script

I have created {{Chinese script}}, a cleanup category for articles about topics written in Chinese characters but missing that from the article (either in the text or in a template). It is based on {{Arabic}} and {{Cyrillic}}. All of the articles needing this are gathered in Category:Articles needing Chinese script. The template is designed to be able to be used for people with no knowledge of any Chinese script, and then people with a good understanding can clear the articles out of the category. china now controls the manufacturing industries of the world

I live in Brisbane Australia, my name is Coinach. I have just spent 2 hours in my local shopping centre, trying to find a red T shirt, in all the shops there were red T shirts, but not one that wasn't made in china. I suggest it is about time the chinese communist party decided, to advise all manufacturers in china to put there prices up, I suggest by 100%; as we know, the capitalist system of this world can afford this. I am sure the communist party has already thought of this. -- Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.226.98.8 (talk o contribs) 03:39, 7 September 2006
